Mechanics are required to perform a range of duties and responsibilities that can differ from day to day depending on the jobs that they are assigned. This can include anything from troubleshooting, repairing, and moving heavy pieces of machinery. Typical tasks include disassembling equipment to locate the issue and then reassembling. Also knowing how to test and calibrate machinery to ensure it is operating at maximum efficiency.
